***  6 New Pats at Hog Heaven ***
*** Hog Heaven has installed 6 new Pat Traps that are ready for the 5 day "Mountain Days" shoot October 17-22th. Hog Heaven also has scores posted from their Sept shoot at www.hogheavengc.com

***  2008 Shoot dates ***
*** Start marking your calendars for the 2008 shooting year. We are getting some shoot dates approved for 2008. Some clubs have a not got their dates in yet but keep checking back for updates.

***If you think you may need a hotel/motel room for the state shoot you can go ahead and make reservations now as the state shoot dates have been announced. As before the state shoot will coincide with the CMA Music Festival, so get your rooms early.
***Also the Nashville Gun Club will be a host site for the ATA Southern Zone in 2008.

        ***  TENNESSEE 2nd in attendance at the 2007 Grand American. ***
Tennessee was 2nd in attendance at the 2007 Grand American with 427 shooters, trailing only the host state of IL.  This is a very good showing by the volunteer state shooters it was certainly helped by our successful SCTP program.  Most events at the 2007 Grand American had a decline in participation, but on the whole the numbers were up. *** TSTA President Ben Loveless Receives Special Award  ***
The ATA has announced its "2007 ATA Special Recognition Awards Winners".  And TSTA President Ben Loveless is awarded "Volunteer Of The Year". Only four different Special Recognitions were awarded, "Photo Of The Year", "Supporter Of The Year", "Volunteer Of The Year", and "Gun Club Of The Year".  Congratulations Ben on this special award.

Corey Raper
Corey Raper (above) of the Claybusters trap shooting team displays his trophy for having the highest score in the Junior Varsity division. Corey broke 197 of 200 in the program and 25 straight in the shootoff for his win. Corey also shot his first 100 straight at the shoot. Congratulations Corey, that is great shooting keep it up.
