*** 2010 State Shoot Status Update #2 ***
26May10
Thanks
to many TSTA board members, the Nashville Gun Club, and many valuable
others.
Many hours of effort have been put forth by these dedicated people to
get things back in order. Everything at the Nashville Gun Club is
almost ready for the Tennessee State Trapshooting
Championships starting on the 10th of June. There are a few minor issues
remaining to be address but have no fear we will have a great shoot at the NGC.
*** 2010 State Shoot Status Update #1 ***
11May10
As many of you know Nashville and the Nashville Gun Club
(NGC) recently experienced massive flooding. The club house at the
NGC was spared but the fields and trap machines were not so lucky.
The good news is that we feel confident the 2010 Tennessee State
Shoot will be held as scheduled. Work is being done this week on
the traps and the initial reports are very good. Be sure to check
back as I will attempt to update this page at least weekly leading up
to the shoot. We also want to thank the many of you that have expressed
concern during this time.
*** May 15-16 Shoot in Nashville Cancelled ***
Due to the flooding at the Nashville Gun Club the two day shoot scheduled for May 15-16, 2010 has been cancelled.
*** Big Water in Memphis ***
3May10
Due to the large amount of rain in west Tennessee all MSSA trap houses are
under water. The main club house has 3 feet of water in the building. All
shooters are advised to call before coming to a trap shoot, especially the May
15 & 16 Mid-South Open. It will take some time to clean & repair the
Pat traps and remove all the damaged targets & shells. Your patience,
understanding, and support are very much appreciated.

*** TENNESSEE 2nd in attendance at the 2007 Grand American. ***
Tennessee was 2nd in attendance at the 2007 Grand American with
427 shooters, trailing only the host state of IL. This is a very
good showing by the volunteer state shooters it was certainly
helped by our successful SCTP program. Most events at the 2007
Grand American had a decline in participation, but on the whole the
numbers were up. For full details take a look at 2007 Grand Attendance (pdf file).
*** TSTA President Ben Loveless Receives Special Award ***
